Solvent-based Liquid Deodorizer

Product Introduction

In the deep processing and modification of polymer materials—whether polyolefins, engineering plastics, or various general rubbers and thermoplastic elastomers—high-temperature shearing, vulcanization crosslinking, and additive degradation often release stubborn odors like sulfides, amines, and VOCs. Traditional solid deodorizers easily cause light scattering and haze defects in transparent rubber and plastics. Meanwhile, inferior fragrances can cause phase separation and migration due to polarity mismatch.

Based on cutting-edge polymer rheological liquefaction technology and homogeneous reaction thermodynamics, this product is specially developed for harsh rubber and plastics processing environments. It uses a pure lipophilic, high-temperature-resistant eco-friendly carrier to completely liquefy highly active odor-eliminating functional groups into a colorless, transparent homogeneous true solution. This pure liquid form grants excellent penetration and dispersion, achieving perfect molecular-level miscibility with plasticizing systems in rubber and plastics processing to irreversibly neutralize odor molecules. Crucially, this product possesses high chemical inertness. It never interferes with rubber vulcanizing agents or accelerators, nor does it affect the curing rate or final mechanical properties of plastics. It ensures no migration and no precipitation in products requiring transparent and high-standard appearances, genuinely achieving long-lasting odor control and perfect optical transparency.

Appearance

Clear and transparent to slightly pale yellow homogeneous liquid (does not alter optical properties).

Deodorizing Principle

  • Targeted Irreversible Neutralization: Highly reactive functional groups carried in the product molecules selectively target odor-causing molecules like sulfides, amines, aldehydes, ketones, and organic acids. Through precise chemical complexation, they are converted into non-volatile stable compounds, thoroughly eliminating the odor source at the molecular level.
  • Homogeneous Reaction Kinetics: Completely abandoning heterogeneous adsorption, the transparent liquid product fully dissolves in organic solvents and plasticizing systems commonly used in rubber and plastics processing. Through sufficient molecular-level contact, its reaction capture efficiency far exceeds that of traditional powders.
  • Homologous Compatibility & Permanent Anchoring: Adopts a pure lipophilic liquid carrier design highly affinitive to non-polar polymer hydrocarbon chains, adhering to the principle of "like dissolves like". The reaction products are extremely stable, will never undergo reverse decomposition, and thoroughly cut off the migration path to the product surface, ensuring long-lasting odor elimination.

Application Areas

  • Transparent & High-Standard Appearance Products: Odor removal for transparent rubber hoses, transparent PC/PMMA sheets, and high-transmittance films that require extremely high optical properties (low haze, zero scattering).
  • Thermoplastic Elastomers & Engineering Plastics: Low VOC modification for various soft elastomers (TPE, TPV, TPU, SEBS) and general/engineering plastics (PP, PE, PA, ABS) to meet the strict odor standards of high-end automotive interiors.
  • General & Specialty Rubbers: Seals, hoses, damping pads, and molded products in sulfur and peroxide vulcanization systems. Absolutely no interference with vulcanization rheology or mechanical strength.

Usage Method

  • Adding Method: Exhibits excellent stability at standard processing temperatures. It can be injected slowly with plasticizers or processing oils during rubber milling or compounding, or added precisely online via liquid metering devices on injection or extrusion machines.
  • Mixing Requirements: As a liquid, it disperses very easily using standard equipment stirring. Of course, using a high-speed disperser or high-speed mixer for strong shear mixing will yield even more exceptional, rapid molecular-level dispersion. For systems containing high concentrations of porous oil-absorbing fillers (like carbon black or silica), ensure the deodorizer is added to the base resin/raw rubber first to fully wet it before adding the porous fillers, preventing invalid adsorption.

Reference Dosage

  • Recommended Dosage: Add 0.1% - 0.2% of the total material weight.
  • Starting Test Dosage: It is recommended to start the trial at the lower limit of 0.1%, fine-tuning gradually based on the balance between odor elimination and physical properties to determine the lowest effective dosage.

Precautions

  • As a high-purity homogeneous true solution, firmly tighten the container seal after use to avoid exposure to humid environments, which may cause moisture intrusion and cloudiness.
  • This product is absolutely neutral, free of harmful components like heavy metals, and should be kept away from high-temperature ignition sources during storage.
