PVC Liquid Deodorizer

Product Introduction

During high-temperature processing, injection molding, or extrusion, PVC products—especially transparent and soft PVC systems—release strong, pungent odors and VOCs due to the thermal degradation of the resin, residual monomers, and the volatilization of plasticizers.

Addressing this industry pain point, this product breaks the limitations of traditional physical powder deodorizers. Designed specifically for high-standard transparent and soft plastics, it is an "anti-migration homogeneous reactive liquid deodorizer." Through precise thermodynamic compatibility design, we use an eco-friendly liquid medium that perfectly matches the PVC system to completely dissolve highly active deodorizing functional groups at the molecular level. It provides root-cause odor elimination far superior to heterogeneous adsorbents while ensuring extreme compatibility with common plasticizers. It disperses stably, permanently eliminating migration and exudation, thereby flawlessly maintaining the original transparency and surface dryness of PVC products. RoHS and REACH compliant.

Appearance

Completely transparent, colorless to slightly yellowish homogeneous liquid.

Deodorizing Principle

  • Liquid-Phase Molecular Homogeneous Reaction: The core active groups are fully encapsulated in a highly penetrating liquid medium, rapidly wetting the substrate. Through molecular-level contact, they selectively target and irreversibly convert odor-causing molecules into stable, non-volatile compounds, eliminating odors at the source.
  • Thermal Degradation Blocking & Absorption: Synergistic active components effectively absorb and neutralize acidic degradation byproducts released by PVC at high temperatures, proactively preventing continuous acidic odors while offering auxiliary thermal stability.
  • Optical Isomorphism & Anti-Migration Anchoring: The carrier medium features a refractive index matching PVC and complete lipophilic polarity. The resulting reaction products remain highly stable and will never migrate to the product surface, guaranteeing zero haze and unaffected light transmittance in transparent systems.

Application Areas

  • Transparent & Daily PVC Products: Odor removal for high-transparency PVC drinking water hoses, medical-grade PVC tubing, transparent PVC packaging sheets, heat-shrinkable films, and high-end transparent PVC shoe materials.
  • Automotive Interiors & Eco-Leather: Low-VOC treatment for automotive PVC slush molding skins, plasticizer odor removal in calendered PVC artificial leather, and purification of synthetic leather coating layers.
  • Cables & Extrusions: Eco-friendly PVC transparent wire and cable sheathing materials, PVC window weather strips, and transparent desk mats requiring strict odor, VOC, and optical standards.

Usage Method

  • Adding Method: Fully miscible with common plasticizers in any ratio. It can be pre-mixed with plasticizers during the PVC mixing stage before adding to the resin powder, or dosed online via a liquid metering pump on the extruder/injection machine.
  • Mixing Requirements: For high-transparency applications, thorough mixing is critical. Using a high-speed mixer is strongly recommended to ensure the active components evenly and fully wet every resin particle, maximizing deodorization and preventing optical variations.
  • Processing Compatibility: Maintains excellent reactivity and stability at standard processing temperatures (160℃-280℃) without interfering with plasticization, melt flow, or final mechanical properties.

Reference Dosage

  • Transparent PVC Products: Recommended 0.1% - 0.2% of total material weight.
  • Opaque PVC Products: Recommended 0.1% - 0.3% of total material weight.
  • Starting Test Dosage: Start testing at the lower limit of 0.1%, fine-tuning based on odor elimination and physical property balance.

Precautions

  • Despite excellent compatibility, a small-scale trial is strictly advised before mass production to evaluate surface dryness and transparency changes.
  • Keep tightly sealed and store in a cool, dry place to prevent moisture and impurities from affecting the liquid clarity.
