Plastics Liquid Deodorizer

Product Introduction

In the processing of modern polymer materials, whether general plastics or engineering plastics requiring temperatures up to 280°C, thermal degradation of the resin and volatilization of additives generate intense pungent odors. Traditional solid powder deodorizers easily cause light scattering in transparent plastics (such as high-clarity PC, PMMA), producing fatal "white spots" and haze that destroy optical properties. Meanwhile, cheap "industrial fragrance" maskers not only fail to address the root cause but also migrate in flexible products, causing stickiness, oil-bleeding, yellowing, and severe VOC failures.

To thoroughly overcome these industry pain points, this product utilizes cutting-edge polymer rheological liquefaction and targeted chelation technology to create a fully lipophilic, homogeneous liquid deodorizer. By employing an innovative "crystal-breaking" liquefaction technology, highly active zinc complexes are completely dissolved at the molecular level into a true solution. The liquid itself is clear and transparent, and absolutely does not crystallize or turn cloudy upon cooling. This homogeneous liquid form grants the deodorizer exceptional penetrating and dispersing capabilities, making it perfectly miscible with resin melts. Loaded onto a premium eco-friendly macromolecular carrier capable of withstanding extreme temperatures of 280°C, it will not vaporize or smoke during high-temp engineering plastic processing. Furthermore, long-chain physical entanglement prevents any risk of surface migration or oil-bleeding. This product achieves both targeted odor neutralization and a closed-loop of thermal stability, making it the ultimate choice for long-lasting odor purification in transparent components and high-temperature injection molded parts.

Appearance

Clear and transparent to slightly pale yellow homogeneous liquid, entirely free of suspended solid particles.

Deodorizing Principle

  • Targeted Irreversible Neutralization: Highly reactive metal coordination centers selectively target typical malodorous molecules (such as hydrogen sulfide, ammonia, and organic sulfur/nitrogen compounds) in the polymer melt. Through empty-orbital chemical chelation, volatile odors are permanently converted into non-volatile, odorless, stable compounds.
  • Homogeneous Reaction Kinetics: The solid association network is completely broken to form a "true solution." The liquid active ingredients are perfectly miscible with the resin melt, plasticizers, and processing oils. This homogeneous distribution allows odor-neutralizing groups to contact odors at the molecular level, exponentially increasing capture efficiency.
  • Heat-Resistant Anchoring & Anti-Migration: Utilizes a premium high-temperature resistant macromolecular medium as the liquid carrier, capable of withstanding 280°C without degrading or smoking. Reaction products are extremely stable, and odors will never recur over time. The physical entanglement of fully lipophilic long-chain polymers entirely eliminates the risk of the active ingredients migrating or "bleeding" to the product surface.
  • Synergistic Thermal Stability Loop: Rich epoxy functional bonds in the system act as excellent scavengers for free acids generated by thermal degradation. Combined with the core deodorizing metal ions, they form a dual synergistic effect of "capturing odors + stabilizing the resin" in the high-temperature melt.

Application Areas

  • Transparent Plastics (Core Advantage): Specifically designed for injection molded parts with stringent optical requirements, such as high-clarity PC, transparent PMMA (Acrylic), transparent PS, and clear PP. It maintains 100% of original transparency while eliminating processing odors.
  • Engineering & High-Temp Plastics: Low VOC odor purification for PA (Nylon), PC, POM, PET, PBT used in automotive components and precision electronics.
  • General Plastics & Elastomers: Homogeneous odor elimination for complex smells in PE, PP, PVC, ABS profiles/films, as well as TPE, TPV, TPU elastomers.

Usage Method

  • Adding Method: A highly dispersible homogeneous liquid. It can be slowly injected into the mixer alongside plasticizers and processing oils during the initial compounding stage; or it can be directly dripped online using a liquid dosing device at the feed throat of the injection molding machine/extruder.
  • Processing Conditions: Extremely processing-friendly. It maintains excellent stability under standard processing temperatures and even high temperatures up to 280°C. There is no need to change normal processing parameters, and it has absolutely no negative impact on mechanical properties or transparency.

Reference Dosage

  • Recommended Dosage: Add at 0.1% - 0.2% of the total material weight.
  • Starting Test Dosage: For initial trials, it is recommended to start testing at the lower limit of 0.1%, and then fine-tune to find the minimum effective dosage based on the odor intensity of different resins and the testing requirements of the final product.

Precautions

  • Sealed Storage: This product is a high-purity homogeneous solution. Please ensure the drum lid is tightly sealed after use to prevent ambient impurities or moisture from compromising the liquid's optical clarity.
  • Compliance: Absolutely free of heavy metals, benzene, and strong volatile harmful components. Fully complies with RoHS, REACH, and other environmental directives, making it safe for high-end plastic modification.
